Every Sunday from May 1st to August 31st, 8:30 PM - 10:00 PM.
Arromanches is unlike any other place in Normandy. In the evening, as the beach quiets down and the light softens over the remains of the artificial harbor, history feels closer and more vivid.
Our Arromanches Evening Walk, offered on Sunday evenings only, invites you to explore this iconic D‑Day site in a calm, intimate, and deeply atmospheric setting.
Your guide will lead you along the beach and seafront, where the massive concrete caissons of the Mulberry Harbor still stand as silent witnesses to the events of June 1944.
You’ll learn how this temporary harbor was engineered, assembled, and used to support the Allied advance after D‑Day — all in simple, engaging terms.
As the sun sets and the crowds disappear, Arromanches becomes peaceful again. The silhouettes of the caissons against the water create a striking, almost cinematic backdrop.
Easy pace, accessible route, and ideal for families, history enthusiasts, and travelers looking for a memorable and authentic experience.
