Every Thursday from May 1st to August 31st, 8:30 PM - 10:00 PM.
Pointe du Hoc is one of the most striking and heroic sites of the Normandy landings. In the evening, as the wind sweeps across the cliffs and the light fades over the craters and bunkers, the story of the Rangers comes alive.
Our Pointe du Hoc Evening Walk, offered on Thursday evenings only, invites you to explore this legendary battlefield in a calm, powerful, and deeply atmospheric setting.
Your guide will lead you along the dramatic cliffs and bomb craters of Pointe du Hoc, where U.S. Army Rangers scaled the heights under enemy fire on June 6, 1944.
You’ll learn how this daring assault unfolded, why Pointe du Hoc was so strategically important, and how the terrain still bears the scars of battle — all explained in simple, engaging terms.
As the sun sets over the sea and the monument stands silhouetted against the sky, the silence and vastness of the site create a setting that invites reflection and respect.
Gentle pace, accessible route, and ideal for families, history enthusiasts, and travelers seeking a meaningful connection to World War II history.
