  • Timmes’ Orchard & 507th Memorial : intense fighting and strong defensive stand.
  • Château de Picauville : where General Falley was killed by 82nd paratroopers.
  • 508th Memorial (Roy Creek Bridge) : combat and crossings.
  • Carentan & Graignes : key link between sectors; tragic and heroic resistance by airborne troops.
